Proficiency Tests
Designed to assess the skill sets and placement of technicians into the proper courses for their learning and development, SPAcademy administers two versions of our proficiency test.
Two Methods of Measurement
The Apprentice Placement Test is designed for the Apprenticeship Program and assesses the overall knowledge and prior skills of a technician wishing to advance as a 2nd, 3rd or 4th-year apprentice. The Placement Test is NOT required to advance a technician.
The Assessment Test evaluates the overall aptitude of a technician in 14 competencies and is paired with our Continuing Education Program. Courses are recommended based on the results of the Assessment.
